Name means "brave, fearless."
Backstory:
Abhay had spotted something in the woods one night, and of course he had to follow it. His description sounded very interested, so Leelavathi tagged along. She looked back at their sleeping herd once before catching up to Abhay. “Look!” he cried, gesturing with his head. A light flashed and then blinked off again. Leelavathi grinned at her brother, and they followed the intermittent light. The sun began to rise, and the light landed on a plant. They crowded forward to investigate, and found a little bug. It lit up for a moment before extinguishing. The six-month-old twins watched in amazement for a little while before turning to head home - and realizing they were lost. Abhay started crying, and Leelavathi held back her tears. “It’ll be okay,” she assured him, “we’ll find them.” They began to try to trace their movements backward, but it was hard. They had been so focused on the bug that they hadn’t paid attention to where they were going. They emerged in an empty clearing around noon. “This is where they were,” Leelavathi said. “I’m sure of it!” Abhay looked at his sister, eyes wide. “Where’d they go? Did they move on without us?” The twins were confused, and both were close to tears. “We can follow them,” Leelavathi finally said. They guessed as to what direction they may have gone and headed out. They didn’t know that the herd had gone the exact opposite way. After a few days of looking and calling out, they stumbled upon a valley. A small herd was nestled there, and the foals had just about given up. They hurried forward and were greeted by a young pony, two years older than them. His name was Pippen, and Abhay instantly liked him. They were introduced to the herd, and Leelavathi found herself talking to a mare named Zecora. They were immediately accepted, and found a new home and family with this herd in the valley.
