Backstory:
Zecora was almost three years old when a stallion in her herd began attempting to court her. She didn’t like him, so she politely turned him down. He didn’t stop. He kept bothering her, and finally she confronted him with a couple of her friends. For a few days, it ended, but that didn’t last long. Zecora began to get scared of him, that he would force her into a relationship that she had no desire to be in. He had tried cornering her several times, a creepy grin on his face. One day, she saw him coming for her. She was tired of this game, and turned and ran into the forest. After running a while, she stopped and heard hoof steps behind her. He had chased her! Zecora sighed and began running again. She hadn’t intended to go so far from her herd, but every time she glanced back he was still pursuing her. She began to panic as the sun started to set. She had tried weaving through the trees, putting on a burst of speed, anything she could think of to lose him. Somehow, he was always just behind her. She burst out of the trees and found herself in a valley. She was exhausted and couldn’t run much longer. Ahead, she saw horses. She called out, sweat pouring off her fur. A stallion, followed by a colt that appeared to be around a year old, hurried over. Zecora explained the situation. The stallion introduced himself with a soft voice as Alone Together. He sent his son to escort her back to their small herd, and when the stallion who had been chasing Zecora broke from the trees, Alone Together intercepted him. Zecora couldn’t hear his quiet words, but the stallion rolled his eyes and started forward again. Alone Together reared, a wild scream ripping from his mouth, and slammed the ground with his hooves. His voice thundered through the valley as he ordered the stallion away from the herd. The creep turned and reluctantly galloped away. She was welcomed into the small herd. She looked up to Alone Together as her protector and a father figure, and liked to think that he thought of her as a daughter.
